I first visited Grace Ranch 15 years ago; it was very different, and much more rustic than it is now. At first, I had a hard time adjusting to the changes, as it had none of the things I was used to having out in the world, like: electricity; running water; phone; internet. Plus, the climate was so different from what I had been used to, living in Vermont. But when it came time to leave that first time, I realized something very strange: I didn’t want to leave!

There is something at Grace Ranch not found in the world around us: peace, stillness, quietness, and its own brand of beauty, unlike anywhere else I had been. The true difference, however, is that the people at Grace Ranch are learning to serve the Lord and walk in His ways.

Now, 15 years later, it is my home.
